The EU temporarily postpones a number of deadlines in the field of transport
Qualification requirements:
The validity of driver training certificates that expire in the period 1 February to 31 August 2020 will be extended by seven months from the expiry date stated on the EU certificate.
At the same time, the deadline is extended by seven months for drivers who have previously completed the qualification training if they are to undergo further training in the period from February 1 to August 31, 2020.
Renewal and replacement of driver cards:
The deadline for delivering new driver cards applied for in the period 1 March 2020 – 31 March 2020 is extended from 15 working days to 2 months.
During the period until the new card is received, the driver can “drive on strip”. However, the driver must be able to prove that a renewal of the driver card or a replacement card has been requested.
