What does a violation cost?
In Denmark, the Police and the Danish Road Traffic Authority issue fines for violations of the rules regarding driving and rest time, working time, and the transport regulations (tachograph violations).
On the roads, the Police can issue fines for all three sets of rules, while the Danish Road Traffic Authority primarily looks at violations of driving & rest time, as well as tachograph violations, and only IF there are serious (and/or many) violations, do they look at the Working Time Directive for mobile workers.
