Fines and penalties
How much does a breach cost?
In Denmark, the police and the Danish Transport Authority issue fines for violations of the rules for driving & resting time, working hours and transport regulations (tachograph violations).
On the roads, the Police can issue fines for all three sets of rules, while the Danish Road Safety Agency first looks at driving & rest time violations, as well as tachograph violations and only IF there are serious (and/or many) violations, they look at the Mobile Workers Directive.
With a subscription to Tachograph Service, you can log in to TachoManagement and see your violations in the three areas.
Here you can also see which specific violations you have the most of, e.g. daily rest in the driving & rest time or night work in the working time rules.
Under the graph with the three types of violations, you can see which drivers and vehicles have the most violations and look further into specific information and data about the violations.
You will also be able to see an estimate of fines for driving & rest time violations and working time violations.
The estimates are calculated based on both European and national rules.
