What is a Safety Adviser?
A safety adviser must advise and supervise the transport of dangerous goods by the company. In addition, a report must be prepared for the management, both annually and if incidents or infringements occur in connection with the transport of dangerous goods.
A safety adviser must hold a certificate valid for the transport routes (road, rail or both) relevant to the company. The certificate is issued after passing the exam and is valid throughout the EU for five years. The exam is jointly organized by the Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish Transport Agency.

All companies involved in the transport of dangerous goods by road must, as a rule, have appointed and attached a safety adviser to their company. This applies both to the actual carriers and to other establishments dealing with the dispatch, classification, packaging, labelling, loading, and unloading of dangerous goods and the completion of transport documents.
A security advisor can help you on an hourly basis or unlimitedly.
In Denmark, it is a legal requirement that all companies involved in the transport of dangerous goods must appoint a safety adviser.
A safety adviser must advise the company in connection with the transport of dangerous goods and ensure compliance with the relevant regulations. Once a year, the safety adviser must prepare a report to the company's management on all activities related to the transport of dangerous goods.
Once you have appointed a safety adviser, you must inform the Danish Emergency Management Agency via a form.
